WebWave brings the benefits of the Internet to both global and local audiences. We are based in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, with a team of Web designers and skilled programmers prepared to meet your Internet needs.

History

WebWave was formed in 1998 by Bruce Wahl and Jay Bachar. Jay recognized that local businesses would like to deal with someone they can see rather than an e-mail address somewhere “out there.” Bruce provided the technical know-how to get the company off the ground. In 2000, Becky Wahl and Brianne Warner became co-owners, as Jay moved on to other ventures. Eventually, Brianne also pursued other career interests. Without the efforts of all four individuals, WebWave would not have become such an integral part of the Chesapeake Beach business community.

Chesapeake Beach Historical Building
WebWave was housed in a nearly 100-year-old building on Chesapeake Beach’s main two-lane road. The town itself was founded in 1900, just three years before WebWave’s office was built. The building was Chesapeake Beach’s original post office, as well as Donald and Kline General Store. It was home to WebWave and The Chesapeake Computer Group Inc., Bruce’s broadcasting related software development business from 1999-2004.

One of the oldest buildings in town once held some of the most high-tech equipment. A dedicated T1 connection to the Internet ran through several UNIX/Linux servers. Wireless networking connected us to other locations in Chesapeake Beach. We still offer a sophisticated multimedia suite, with the highest professional quality digital audio cards available for mastering CDs and audio for the World Wide Web. Our staff uses software mainly from Adobe, MacroMedia, Red Hat and Microsoft.

Process

Customer satisfaction is our top priority at WebWave. We view our clients not merely as business acquaintances, but as our friends and peers. In order to maintain this strong relationship, we have implemented an informative Client Packet.

The Client Packet is our effort to streamline the public's dealings with our firm and further educate the business community on our work processes. This a valuable tool and a must-read for potential and returning clients. It will insure that your project will move along smoothly and efficiently by keeping you, the client involved as a key player.

Management Team
Members of our management team offer server administration and programming skills as well as bookkeeping and project management. Our managers work diligently with the client and the in-house designers to gather project requirements, insure quality and finalize a project. They do this while making sure that deadlines are reached, goals are achieved and client satisfaction has been met.

The management team at WebWave wears many hats and still finds time to serve their immediate community by volunteering with the Kiwanis club, helping out at local events and activities and even serving on the Chesapeake Beach Town Council.
